NOTE: if you just wanna listen to my stuff, bandcamp is best as it's got basically everything i've ever made, whereas youtube and soundcloud is missing some things due to me not wanting to bother making a video, not wanting to waste upload space, not wanting to mess with the algorithm, etc. plus, you can download all my stuff as mp3, wav, or other files for free. (donations are super appreciated though!) if you absolutely can't/don't want to use bandcamp though, youtube is probably the next best option as it tends to have the stuff i'm most proud of, plus there's edited videos to go along with the music.
i've been making music since june 2021, and in that time i've had many different styles and experimented with many different genres. the three styles i'm most known for are metal, vintage-rock, and... i'll just call it soundfontcore. the purpose of this page is to showcase how flexible i am with genres and styles for people who want to commission me or bring me on for their project or something. just note that the older something is, the less likely it is to reflect on my current standards. for example, even though i still think my most recent An Enigmatic Encounter remix is pretty good, if i were to fix it up now, it'd be quite a bit better.
also, generally speaking, the higher up a song is in a given category, the more i like it.
METAL
i don't think anyone can deny that metal has been my "main" style for the past year and a half or so. it's definitely one of my favorite genres and it's also one of the genres i know the most about when it comes to actually producing it.
JUNE 2024: HARDERLOVANIA: The Final Showdown
as of right now, i think this is the best song i've released on youtube. the mixing's a bit brash, sure, but that's really the only problem i have with it. it's exciting. it's melancholic. it's loud. it's the final showdown.
DECEMBER 2023: An Enigmatic Encounter (Flared up V4)
the mixing on this one is kinda muddy, but i think the composition/arrangement is among some of the best in my catalog.
MARCH 2024: PAPYRUS ENCOUNTER (Flared up)
one of the first times i truly began experimenting with some pretty weird noises. i think it shines more in the second half because of how brash and experimental it gets. i know i said i didn't like how brash the mixing was in my harderlovania remix, but it's sort of a "different kind" of brashness that i feel kinda fits this song. harderlovania is like "why would you put so much saturation on the drum bus" while this is like "man that wall of distortion tastes delicious."
APRIL 2024: THEOVANIA: ASCENSION
again, pretty brash, but not necessarily in a bad way. i think the orchestral elements add a lot; i quite like the flute patch in particular. (it's a reason preset if you're wondering.)
AUGUST 2023: TALONS AND TAILS
for once we have an original song - well, kinda. it's pretty heavily based on Hopes and Dreams by Toby Fox, but the actual melodies are basically as "original" as melodies get. i think this is also one of my more cleanly mixed songs, perhaps thanks to me putting ozone 10 elements on every single track lol
VINTAGE ROCK (KINDA IDK)
this was basically my main style from october 2022 to january 2023, though i have come back to this style once since then.
DECEMBER 2024: Case Closed (Flared up)
the only time i've come back to this style since i abandoned it in january 2023, and it shows with how much better it is.
DECEMBER 2022: Darkness of Dragons
probably the single best thing I made in 2022. a couple of the melodies have some oddities, but some melodies are still really good even for my current standards. the mixing is kinda muddy, but so were all my songs back then lol. also, this is basically an original song, so that's neat too.
DECEMBER 2022: Final Encounter (Flared up V2)
if Darkness of Dragons isn't the best thing i made in this style, then this is. it's kinda funny too, because the original song was Not That Great. i'm not sure why i put so much effort into Bloody Breath Phase 14: Final Encounter Flared Up V2, but i did. i think the whole "wait, why is this good?" thing was sort of a common theme with some of my older stuff lol.
JANUARY 2023: Painful yet Unpredictable Retribution (Flared up)
thanks to me being in the right place in the right time, this got used in an animation with 450k+ views, and now my youtube upload of it is the most viewed video on my music channel with over 30k views. nice.
"SOUNDFONTCORE"
before september of 2022, i hardly even knew what a vst was, so i had to make do with using only soundfonts and stock Reason plugins. i also didn't know what mixing or mastering was, so most of the stuff in this style is Not That Great, but not everything is terrible.
NOVEMBER 2023: Chaotic Breath phase 1
in November of 2023 i came back to this old style because someone wanted me to make music for their last breath au and really liked the music i made for another au called Demonic Breath, which i will not link to because it sucks. so, i decided to restrict myself to the limitations i had back in ~may of 2022, which is when that OST was made - no more than 16 tracks, no vsts, and use a lot of the same instruments i did back then, like the SGM drums and some specific Reason presets. this was really the only time i came back to this style after abandoning it in october of 2022, so it's pretty disproportionately better than the rest of the stuff here. that said, i still didn't put too much effort into this because i was doing this for free, and that's probably a good thing too since the au ended up getting cancelled.
AUGUST 2022: Distortion World (Flared up)
one of the very few songs made in this style that i consider good enough to be in the Best of Lookink54 playlist. obviously the mixing isn't quite there, but the composition is still pretty awesome. i think it's one of the first times i really showed how innovative and creative i can be.
JUNE 2022: Saturn
how on earth did i manage to make a somewhat decent original composition only a month after the disaster that was the Demonic Breath OST? we may never know.
JULY 2022: A Tormented Encounter
i give vhs sans: last corruption a lot of flack for being unoriginal, uninspired, and lazy, but to be fair, the phase 3 theme is kinda alright.
APRIL 2022: Now You'll Never Leave (Flared up)
one of the few times where my lack of mixing knowledge actually kinda sorta fit the song.
NOVEMBER 2021: Vs. Giratina (Flared up V1)
i mostly put this here for people curious what i sounded like in 2021, but honestly this really isn't that bad for 2021.

one thing you'll notice pretty quickly is that a lot of these more experimental things are unreleased original compositions made during/after summer of 2023. take that as you will.
also im not the greatest with applying genre labels to my work, so you may see a lot of "i guess" and "sorta idk" here.
